Event: 10MILA 2012
 

Orienteering race 1:25:00 [4] 11.0 km (7:44 / km)

Last leg for Konnerud 2, Maren didn't punch the last control on third leg so didn't know if my map would be taken out but it hadn't :) So went out still quite high up, for my first tio I was pretty happy. I didn't feel great, fixture of length and drinking the shitty sports drink on the way round but nav was acceptable, was running with 4 others and the last long leg they went straight through the bog and i went round the road, I was them to my left and got a bit excited at this turned off without thinking, 1 min lost I found the control only for them to have caught me up again!
Such a good weekend with the team, First team finished 33 with average age of 20! BBQ in the sun and watching the mens tops off the day1

Pre tio prep, taking it how ever you wanted, first part normal, then contour only then all paths taken off. going well, pissed around at the end, confusing map, didn't help the control feature wasn't actually there,

long way round there as not sure what path took me there, then got the right one home, much faster! SUN SUN SUN :)

up to the top of the Hill and the back, past the garage to get a wee ice cold drink!! Spring is def here :)

Running intervals 21:00 [4]

30,60,90,60,30 x 2 on the trails, then sone sprint/strides at the end.
Running last leg for team 2 at tio, it's pretty beasty so need to be mentally prepared!
