Orienteering race 1:02:26 [4] 7.16 km (8:44 / km) +127m 8:01 / km
shoes: Innovates

Marginata H2 course as 5.8km seemed a decent distance and the course looked like a good one in a nice area.

Managed to stay clean and mostly on the line, legs started to tie up about half way around with a few walking bits. All the controls were on the far side of features which after last week when they were saying "come and get me" was a very nice change and meant you had to navigate to the feature and not just look up to see the flag!.

Thought leg 9 - 10 might be a trap so stayed along the spur line and picked off the features with some big rocks just before the control. Tony Whittaker went low and was quicker, but then he was quicker on most legs except the 1st where he lost heaps of time.

Managed to just hold on for 4th place behind GB, Andre and Tom B

Friday ride, only just over 2 deg when I started so pushed along Matilda Bay and the Freeway Path to warm up.

Simmo made a dash for the last muffin only to be beaten by Sandy as a proxy for Noel.

Forgot to restart the GPS after coffee

Scarborough ride, seemed like the sun was out, but hit showers at Challenge and stayed wet through to Scarborough.

Tried to get a good time and managed to keep a decent pace but a couple of minutes off the PB

Garmin switched off or battery flat just before I got back

Running 24:35 [3] 4.32 km (5:41 / km) +63m 5:18 / km

2nd relatively fast activity for the day with a better than average time for Noel's run in Kings Park. Fastest this year.

Must be time to taper!
