Orienteering race 1:10:54 [4] 8.3 km (8:33 / km) +203m 7:37 / km

Ngangagurringgurring Hill the map has grown and extra couple of "gurrings" over the the last 20 years?

H3 Course interesting start controls and was OK for a change from the last few weeks on #2 but came unstuck at #5 where I missed by a few metres and thought i am too high and still missed it on the way back down and circled around again to and came from rocks below looks like about 4 minutes

Across through to 10 was fine overtook Russell Candy but somehow did not register a punch on the SI tag at #10 - I did go there honest!

Correction, the GPS does not lie, I know see that I did not go to #10 but headed on the bearing from #10 - #11 when I left #9 - so that explains my misslocation looking for 11 and also the lack of a split for #10!

maybe I ran too hard trying to overhaul Russell and had no brain oxygen left and #9 & #10 do look a bit the same, both lone boulders across a track?

Still trying to run away from Russell and screwed up 11 big time and ended up between 12 & 13 and had to relocate off the creek to the East of the control and slog up the hill, lost about 7 or 8 minutes I guess

Was careful through 12 & 13 as lots of rock and easy to miss the control - raced down the hill and saw Russell punching #14 from 50m away which saved me a few seconds looking behind black boys. Caught Russell at the finish line then found out at the Caravan that #10 was missing so a MP

Time would have put be in reasonable spot so quite happy but would have been much better without the 10 minutes of errors!

Running 27:19 [3] 5.0 km (5:28 / km)

Stanard short loop - legs a bit weary from the weekend rides so a bit slower than last week. New running chum Pauline ran off at the end time for her to run the longer route with a faster person?

No Mr Nesky1 tonight so Simmo was happy
