Running 26:38 [3] 4.97 km (5:22 / km)

Short run with Pauline, a Swiss orienteer who is living in Perth and found us, works in West Perth so hopefully will become a regular.

Felt like I was going well but time just below last week but still better than some and after a hard two days at Peterdine was good to not have any niggles.

Orienteering race 1:09:19 [5] 9.25 km (7:29 / km) +207m 6:44 / km

Day 2 of the AUtumn Classic but longer at 7.6km and i thought this might hurt a bit! The past caught up at number 2 and I over ran the control by not being careful enough and trying to get it from the top when I should have come along the creek and looked up to see the cliff. Lost a couple of minutes as I got nearly to the dam.

Similar to Day 1 I settled down and petty much had a clean run after number 2. tRicky came past pretty quick along the rocky slope 9, 10, 11 but I did get #10 in front of him. Tried to call Chas in but he looked and thought that rock suface is on a steep a slope so I would call it a cliff, ergo it is not my control, not sure how long before he came back!

Long run out from 11

But a good weekend - made all the better by the winning of my first cloth badge for a couple of years. Good job the Juniors were no shows on Saturday!
