Run race (Golf course 5k) 24:00 [4] 5.0 km (4:48 / km)

My second slowest ever - it felt faster though! Running by myself though so i eased up through the middle bit, then when I realised I had eased up I pushed pretty hard up Durston and to the finish. Felt hard, maybe because of the weather and from doing so little training.

Ok I won't log the whole ride but I want to record the moment when I had my first flash of training motivation!
After nearly 2 months off attackpoint; after lots of boring commutes and half-hearted runs; after trying to fill the void with crazy stuff like social interaction, carpentry, gardening and babysitting; I finally let myself be talked into a going for a ride which I knew would not be a social pootle.
All was nice and social until the point where the Roadies forced their way back into my relaxing, carefree existance. Stupid roadies. Oh it is so much fun overtaking roadies! After destroying the roadie group, my world changed for ever! Again. I got my mojo back and enjoyed the rest of the ride pushing hard as if I were a cyclist. Good fun. Especially since John still let me stop for a) a drink and 2) a swim, and when I got tired my Dad drove me home.
I suspect this was only a temporary flash of motivation, but it was fun!
