foot-O race 19:00 [5] *** 2.5 mi (7:36 / mi) +40m 7:14 / mi
spiked:18/21c

I was on-time today, and was feeling fast running. Too fast to read the map well to number 3, and just ranpast one trail to #5.
Other than those was fairly clean, withjust some slightly sub-optimal route choices.
7.5 hours of enduro driving to get home.

foot-O race 1:25:00 [5] *** 9.0 mi (9:27 / mi) +350m 8:26 / mi
spiked:14/19c

This race seemed to start badly with me missing mystart by 2 minutes. But got much better. Even the controls I didn't spike I found quickly, and remembered to run fast like I was in a race.
Nice result as 2nd in age class.

running warm up/down 15:00 [2] 1.3 mi (11:32 / mi) +40m 10:32 / mi

foot-O race 1:06:00 [3] **** 5.0 mi (13:12 / mi) +100m 12:26 / mi
spiked:9/18c

This course difficulty was a little beyond my ability do running fast.
Lots of walk time to read and re-read vegation boundaries.
Realized I neededto pay more attention to the contours which were well mapped. Only 3 controls were really bad for me but that was enough toreduce my confidence.
