Jukola, 1st leg for 4th team (team no. 272). SNO had 3 top team and 4 equal punter teams so I got the chance to run first leg in the 4th team. Much to the disgruntal of the other 3 punter teams, who all had start numbers in the 1300's, we had start no. 272. This mean that I was starting very near the the front! I was a bit worried about the start after running the Venla, it was very long with an up and down in the middle where they had cut a path through the woods. I need not of worried I was full of adrenaline and felt better in the cooler running weather so was able to run strongly. Started furthest right so was able to get a nice line while gripping my map for dear life!
First control was similar to my first on Venla just a little further which gave me a little extra confidence. Managed to get it spot on, there were a lot of circling runners at the wrong gaffle. I thought girls relays could be a bit headless chicken but Jukola is far and above any girls relay! Straight forward to 2 control so no problems there either. Have to admit as I was heading out after punching I heard a Brit ask me where we were, didn't see who it was but just ignored it. Honestly it was an easy control so if they couldn't work it out they were stuffed anyway. Got a bit put off by that and started heading out with the runners going to the other gaffle rather than the 3rd. Corrected that though and slotted into the train. Fairly straight forward the next controls. Few route choices so sometime runner with a smaller group. Around 6 or 7 Sven popped up from behind. We exchange codes so knew we had the same so I could keep sight of him which was nice since there were a few tricker controls. Jakob also popped up so had a little chat with him as well, very socialable!
Little bit of running in the middle round the drinks but managed to pick up all my controls after that no problem either.
Start of the long leg I made my first of 2 mistakes. I ended up running down the wrong path. Fortunatly realised fairly quickly so got myself sorted. I choice to run a bit futher along the path after the OOB area while most people headed straight in. Not sure what was best. I probably did a little further and more climb but I didn't trust the people round me for help, I seemed to be the strongest orienteer, and this was a little bit of an easier attack route. This was probably the hardest control on the course. Got near the control and Sven popped up again. We didn't have the same control and we were both a bit unsure. I had a look around and ran in the direction I thought it was and hoped for the best. Suddenly the control was just in front of me - result!

Stockholm City Cup, Eriksdals. Fairly fast and not too tricky sprint. Just had to watch out for the uncrossable walls. Had to stop to tie my shoelace on the way to 2 - oops. Should have looked ahead a bit more, to unfit so having to concentrate on my running.

Parloppet, Hagaparken. Team 5km race where you run opposite ways round the course and they add your times together. I was a last minute stand in for Niclas team. We managed to come 5th in the mixed class but missed the prizegiving because we didn't realise until we looked at the results on the way home. Tough course a couple of big uphills.
