Running race 4:23:00 [3] 28.92 km (9:06 / km)
In short, the theme of the 28km at Limberlost Challenge for me would best be described as "mistakes were made." Most of the mistakes were in my head, such as starting too fast, which translated into mistakes in my body such as my hands swelling up and calves cramping due to what I assume was unbalanced electrolytes. In any case, this wasn't really my day with a much slower and grumpier second loop than first and a good hard fall down a slippery rock onto my tailbone. On the plus side, the course was absolutely stunning, I got a good long run in, and had some great chats with people on the trail!
