Kelly and I ran the Peak to Peak together and it was a lovely fall day for running around in the woods! We put together a conservative plan that involved not doing all of the dog bones and marked some check in times along our route. After the Prologue, a couple of controls and Walk the Line, we were ahead of schedule so we did a small loop in the area of the dogbones and started heading back around the 1:00 mark. Executed our plan well on the way back and by the time we arrived at 100 for the Overachiever section, we still had about 20 minutes left. We grabbed two more controls on the way back and probably my only regret of the race is not planning to do all three as we would have had time. Kelly is a great co-navigator and I always enjoy the company to talk things through with and troubleshoot! A good little tune-up before RTH and a fun morning out in the forest!
