I've been wanting to go and explore in Queen Elizabeth Wildlands for some time now, and found an interested adventure partner in Browner! We used Brad's awesome map to plot out a route and decided that we'd paddle out from one of the Head Lake access points.

Started out just after lunchtime on Saturday. Water was a bit choppy on Head Lake but smooth sailing once we got onto the river. One short but steep portage and we were at Fishog before we knew it! We had a particular site on Fishog Lake in mind but we could see that there was someone already on it, so we took another site that we had passed and thought looked perfect, and it was! It was on a point on the middle of the lake with tons of space, lots of easy water access, FOUR THUNDERBOXES, and some luxurious amenities like a little camp kitchen (well shelves) that someone had built and were perfect for cooking on.

Went for a group class and was the only one there so ended up with a personal training session...that was cool!
