At Laurel Creek. Conditions were sketchy AF but I didn't care because it was so lovely and bright and sunny that if I'd fallen on the ice I'd probably just have laid there admiring the pretty pine trees and sunshine.

After a cozy evening in the tent we took our time getting going with several cups of coffee, oatmeal and a surprise treat of toasted cinnamon buns that Eco had brought! We packed up and headed out just after 10. We were pleasantly surprised to find that it was net downhill on the way back out, and that, coupled with lighter packs made for a very enjoyable trek back out.

A great adventure with two wonderful ladies. We were so lucky to have the conditions that we did as I imagine we could have been hating life if it had been -25 and windy! We had ambitious plans to skate at Arrowhead on our way home but the weather was pretty sketchy and we wanted to hit the road so we settled on another yummy lunch at the Farmer's Daughter on the way back out.
