Running 35:00 [3]

Morning run on the GRT with a bit of road. Really should have had a headlamp! It's only romantic running by the light of the moon and stars until I trip...

Was proud of myself for waking up at 5:30 to get this done but then annoyed to find out I could have slept in as Laurier was in lockdown for the day and I didn't have to go to work. The lockdown was lifted around lunchtime - apparently a threat made to the Science building by someone on the same website that the Oregon shootings had been mentioned. Pretty scary but good to see that the university took it seriously.

Strength Training 55:00 [3]

CrossFit. Introduced to the ridiculousness that is handstand push-ups. Why? Why is that useful in life? If there were a zombie apocalypse, would all of the CrossFitters survive because they would run away in their handstands?

Trekking/Hiking 2:30:00 [2]

Hiking around Awenda on the Beach, Beaver Pond and Wendat Trails. Could the weather have been any more perfect for a long weekend in October?

Running 1:20:00 [3]

Trail run in Awenda on the Bluff trail. I had never been here before and couldn't believe how beautiful it was! The weather and temperature helped for sure but the trails were in perfect condition.

This was my first adventure with Big Earl, my new to me campervan. I wanted to go somewhere not too far from home but that I'd never explored before. Awenda turned out to be the perfect choice! My only regret was that Earl doesn't have a bike rack yet and I had bike envy watching people tool around the trails and park roads. I plan to fix that this week!
