Running 46:00 [3]

Had an orienteering dream last night in which my two loves were married: CP2 on this course was located in a bar. :) But it was also a nightmare in that I wasn't able to stop since it was at the beginning of a race. After committing to the Half-Raid with Bash and dlevine as team "Achilles Healing" (Bash gets the credit for this) and signing up for the short course at next weekend's Peak 2 Peak, I saw this dream as a sign I needed to brush up on my much neglected map reading ability.

Took out an old ESAR map from the year it was out this way and "found" all the controls on the Puslinch trails. I stuck to the trails as I've just gotten over ANOTHER episode of the PI that I have no real idea how I got but left my legs looking like a bio-hazard for a week or so.

Although I stopped a few times to look at the map, this was I suppose my longest run in awhile. Daniel made me aware of his presence most of the time, but not too annoyingly so.

Tried an RPM class a couple of weeks ago and was chagrined to find out that my achilles couldn't handle the standing parts. Much better this morning with only a couple of twinges towards the end. Nice catching up with Mrs. Tiny as we got ready for work afterwards!

For reason Daniel was feeling cooperative today and I had the best run I've had since May. 25 minutes non-stop at close to normal pace. Who knows if this was a fluke or not so I won't get too excited about it yet.
