Met up with some friends I hadn't seen in a while for a hike out of St. Jacobs before my family Easter lunch. I was a *tad* underdressed in short and a long sleeve shirt but fortunately found some extra riding clothes in the car. What a beauty weekend!
Stephania and I went on a bit of a tear in TO last night, so this morning we had to re-evaluate our long run plans. So instead, we sat on her deck in the beautiful sunshine and drank coffee. Too nice to pass up a run, so I stopped in at Hilton Falls on the way home and meandered through the trails there for awhile, which are a smushy snowy mess but who cares when the sun is shining!
At the gym on the treadmill. I really, really admire those of you who tienen los cajones for running outside in the dark and cold in the winter, but I don't! I look forward to being able to hit the trails in the morning in the next few weeks as soon as the average morning temperature is 10 degrees or higher (give or take).
Also eagerly awaiting the arrival of my Luna Leadville running sandals in the mail any day now!
Was supposed to ride a horse after work (I wasn't lying DD), but I couldn't resist going home and hitting the trails instead. Puslinch is a bit of mess, but that was made up for by being able to run in the shorts and sun. Listened to an interesting Trail Runner Nation podcast with Phil Maffetone.
Hot yin yoga class at GL. Never done this one before. Basically, it was lying on the ground in a variety of poses for an hour, which was awesome, since I'd had a couple of beers after work and frankly, all I felt like doing was lying on the floor. Almost feel guilty even logging this as a 1, but there were a few poses that were quite uncomfortable and an effort for my tight hips and ankles.
