Seaton run with BiT and Bruiser. Simpy joined us for a bit, but then he got tired and went home. ;) Although conditions were quite sketchy in places, it was a ridiculously, ridiculously wonderful day to be trail running. Only thing hurting at the end was my lower back from trying to stay upright on the ice!
At the gym on the treadmill. Would always rather be outside but know myself well enough to know that at this hour, by myself, I'll get more of a quality workout this way. 25 minutes of hills at varying inclines and lengths with warm-up and cool down.
Hockley loop with Stephania. I've never done this in the winter and it didn't really occur to me how snowy it would be up there! Decided to do the loop counter-clockwise, and we got a rude awakening as we were postholing to our knees alongside the farmer's field on the way to the ski hill. Conditions thankfully improved as we went along, making me pleased with the decision to do it in this direction and get the worst part over with first. The road section on the second half had just enough snow on it to make it feel like it wasn't a road, and the last trail section was beautifully packed down thanks to some snowshoers. A little cold on the road but otherwise a beautiful day to be out the woods!
