Orienteering 2:49:00 [3]

Hard Rock training event at Rocky Ridge. Simpy, BiT and I decided that we'd do this all together and take turns being the nav decision-maker. Of course, the only real snafu of the whole morning was during my watch in between 11 and 12. I was overly confident that I'd just take a bearing and the CP would magically appear to greet me with a handshake, which turned out not to be the case! Other than that, things generally went really well and it was great to have others to talk to about route choice and making what we saw out there translate to the map. A couple of missing CPs at 5 and 7 came back to bite us in the ass as when we got to 9 with a group of others and didn't see it where we thought it was supposed to be, we kept going since two others hadn't been there. Turns out 9 was there, so we should have kept looking. Oh well!

Followed up with a short ride at Currie Tract with the boys and Kura. Sadly, it was a short ride for simpy and BiT due to some major mechanicals. Andrew and I kept riding for a bit to explore the area as I'd never started from that point and it was cool to see what was out there. Definitely want to get back here for a run sometime as I loved all the singletrack.

A nice morning ride on country roads to remind me why I hate riding my mountain bike on roads. But, alas, a necessary evil I recognize!

Yoga (Other) 50:00 [2]

Have skipped the yoga sessions the past few weeks and boy can I feel it. Did a good chunk of Yoga for Runners intermediate, which always reminds me how weak and stiff my hips are!
