Running 54:42 [3]

Stephania and I met bugsinteeth and simpy at Seaton (oh, the fond memories) for our first UNE team get together. Nice easy run with lots of fun banter and stories. Looking forward to spending time with this group flipping our boats in the whitewater and yelling at each other in the woods.

Running 50:00 [4]

Hit the treadmill after work for an unplanned run. Found I had quite a bit of steam to burn off and pushed it pretty hard. Felt great!

Cycling 50:00 [3]

RPM class. Almost slept through this but then remembered that I'd agreed to meet someone there. Damn accountability!

Running 25:00 [3]

Short warm-up run before swingin' some kettlebells around. Had a stressful day at work and this was just what I needed to blow off some steam!

Strength Training 20:00 [3]

Got a set of kettlebells recently and I loved the idea of swingin' them around. Did the DVD that came with them and then through the set of exercises once. Both the DVD and poster that the set came with were a little uninspiring but I'm sure I can find some good options online.

Rowing 20:00 [3]

Running tempo 45:00 [4]

Last Sunday's race taught me that that it wouldn't *kill" me to occasionally run faster. Did this at the gym on the treadmill as I often find I'm more motiavted to run faster when there are other people around me. Had a great euphoric post-run feeling afterwards. Aaaahhhhh.

Note

Devoted some time this weekend to going through all my gear, doing inventory, getting rid of expired gels, smushed bars, moldy bladders, etc and figuring out what I can convince myself I need to buy this year. Does anyone else get INSANE satisfaction out of doing this?
