Pretty excited to find both a paved path and unpaved trail right outside my hotel. Did a nice loop along the river and over a couple of bridges. Risked my life negotiating with some Canada Geese to let me on the singletrack.

Spent the afternoon training with Tessa - a girl from K-W who is also doing RTNX on team Curahee. She's jumping in with both feet as her AR history includes just 3 sprint races, but she's got a great attitude so I'd echo what Los Dobos told her after they raced together at Raid Pulse a few weeks ago and say that "I wouldn't bet against her." We'd been trying to coordinate some training time together for awhile, but it never worked out before today. Lots of fun getting to know each other better.

Tessa and I rode a loop at Hilton Falls, then climbed up Appleby Line to play at Kelso for awhile, then rode back. Had never hit up Snakes and Ladders before...suh-weet. Almost worth climbing back up to ride it again!
