Allison convinced me to try an Orangetheory class last night...not really sure how to log each piece but it was a combination of rowing, running and strength. The concept behind the classes is that you aim to spend 12-20 minutes in the orange HR zone, and you wear a monitor the entire class, as does everyone else and you can see what people's HR% is on a big screen. Interesting concept, but it was a bit gimmicky for me and there were a few many high fives going on. That said, I did work harder than I would on my own and I've got a free week so I'm going to try one more class.

I only recently discovered that I can go into the spin studio at Good Life at a time when there aren't classes running and do a virtual class of any length. I think I like these better than the real classes as I don't have to worry about rolling my eyes at the video instructors when they are pretending we are climbing a mountain but really we are sitting on bikes indoors.

With Mrs. Tiny and Allison at Huron Natural Area. We had to run quite a few loops to make our time goal but it was so beautiful out! Trail conditions ranges from dry as a bone, to sloppy and slushy, to hard packed snow.

I found enough snow to ski! But I had to drive 8 hours to get there...

At the Stowe Mountain resort cross-country center. Nice and quiet out since it was minus a bagillion degrees. Snow was very squeaky! Trail conditions varied but it was really cool to check out new trails and have Mount Mansfield in the background.

I love Vermont! Turns out they have a few good beers too! ;-)

Hermes, Amber and I decided to do this together and we had so much fun! There was definitely strength in numbers and we executed our plan near perfectly, save a small bobble at #5. Yummy post race lunch at the Chop House.
