Ride with Stephania on Puslinch trails. We were supposed to ride on Friday evening but she got stuck in traffic and didn't want to by the time she arrived. I conceded, but only if we could ride this morning instead. Beautiful time of day to be out there, although it was much darker at 6:00 than I realized it would be!

After reaching an impasse with my Achilles, I decided to shell out the bucks for ESWT (shockwave) this morning. At the moment, I'm feeling pretty optimistic about this. On the plus side, there is good research on the efficacy of this for making breakthroughs with achilles and the clinic where I go had found it very successful. On the down side, there is also some research that says it doesn't work and it means back to no running again, for at least a couple of weeks. That said, I wouldn't say my runs lately have been particularly successful and I was at my wit's end doing god damn eccentric exercises, so we'll see if this helps.

If anyone else has had success (or not) with ESWT, I'd love to hear about it!

Had some time to kill after work so gave a CX class another shot. Better than the first ones I tried when they first came out as there was less convoluted stretchy band combo exercises. Will definitely be feeling this tomorrow!

Gorgeous morning for a ride on the Puslinch trails. Perfect weather, perfect trail conditions and only saw one other person. One of those rides that reminds you why you ride in the first place!

Hike on Bruce Trail from Guelph Line to Waterdown area with some friends. Realized I'd seen most of these trails in various Raid races but never all strung together.

Andrew and I headed up to Turkey Point area to check out the trails there. Some of the most fun riding I've ever done in Ontario. Lots of options and perfect weather and temperature. Rode about 20km or so then had lunch at Burning Kiln winery. Got back on our bikes after that but the mojo was lost so only rode another 5km or so.

Morning run/walk at Inverhuron. Was really excited about this as Achilles had been feeling great for a few days after a session with a different physiotherapist on Thursday but reality did not live up to expectations with some not great discomfort at by the 4th and 5th run segments. Boo! I get so jealous whenever I see people running...miss it so much! :(

Super fun ride from cottage in Inverhuron over to the Provincial park and through the trails there. Took a longer route back and saw a sign for the Inverhuron Bike Park so had to take a detour to check it out. Was seriously rueing the fact that I had my hardtail with me and was all by myself without cell service as there was some fun stuff in there. BiT and simpy would have had a great time breaking their old bikes in the skills area. Rode one of the x-country trails and headed back as I was already later than expected. Total ride time was about 2 hours but adjusted for my many picture stops. Great ride.
