Mansfield O-Cup. Really glad I pre-rode yesterday - made me much more confident today. Wasn't aggressive enough about passing people, but started near the back of my wave and picked a few people off on each lap. Fun course and fortunately the rain held off for my loops; I have a feeling that the afternoon races weren't so lucky!

Awesome run on Don Valley Trails with kbomb and Stephania. Kbomb was an excellent tour guide and never stopped telling stories the entire time!

Met Marcus at Durham Forest for a ride having never been there before. Love the endless doubletrack / singletrack possibilities and it was a kickass night for riding. Also love teammates that bring me Mexican beer as gifts :)

Trail running between Rattlesnake and Crawford Lake. Went out and back and then partway out again until I hit the two hour mark.

Stopped running at 2 hours then kept hiking to find the friends I went up with who were hiking and lunching. Ran into Harps while looking for them. Found them eventually and hiked back to the car with them.

The Funderstorm had a slow start in which it appeared that we all forgot how to orient a map, use a compass, or figure out which direction we were supposed to go! We were dead last after the Scramble, which was actually kind of cool as it meant we couldn't follow any other teams or second guess our own decisions. Fortunately, things got better and better throughout the day and we had little difficulty with any of the controls after the Scramble start. Kbomb and I navigate really well together - if only she weren't so bent on this Canadian Death Race thing then she could race with me more! I had to add that as I know she'll be reading this :)

Training night with Waterloo Stars to see if I remembered how to use a compass. Went into knee high water unneccessarily and got totally disoriented on one control - yep, sounds about right! Did come across a very friendly momma deer on a trail who was in no hurry to skedaddle until I made horse clucking noises at her!
