Snowshoeing 1:26:00 [2]

Took someone new to Canada out for her first snowshoe at the Hydrocut. Probably not the best use of my training time today but a lovely day to be outdoors nonetheless and she had a great time.

Snowshoeing 1:16:00 [3]

Andrew and I made the most of the fresh snow out at the Hydrocut. Beautiful day!

Cycling 45:00 [3]

I'm heading to Spain on Tuesday to meet Stephania for a mountain biking trip + Funderstorm hijinks. Figured it would be a good idea to get a couple of rides on my real bike so I'm not a chicken once I get there! Underdressed and was freezing but enjoyable nonetheless.

Running 1:17:00 [3]

I'm in College Station, Texas for the next few days for a conference. Had high hopes of getting to a nearby lake this morning to run some trails but it was further than I thought and time was not on my side, so I made do with a run from my hotel up to the Texas A&M and through the campus. The closest I got to trails was running through their golf course, but it was a beautiful day here for a run!

Running race 54:00 [2]

Paced my work friend in the Fridgeeighter 8K road race this morning. It was a pretty windy day for her first race but she did great. In the last km I tried to convince her that the harder we ran, the more satisfying it would be for her to stop. Turns out her husband only beat us by about 20 seconds - if I had known that, I would have tried to pull some more motivational techniques out of my pocket so we could have beat him!

Running 1:10:00 [2]

Mrs. Tiny and I braved the frigid temps for an early morning run at the Hydrocut. The footing was a mixed bag with a nice layer of snow for grip in some spots but covering sheer ice in others, which we wouldn't know until we were sliding all over the place. Really nice in the forest but freezing out in the parking lot and on our way in and out.

Running 1:03:00 [3]

Had packed my running stuff to hit the gym after work but considered it to be sacreligious not to get outside ona day like this. As a non-skier, I may be the only one happy to have no snow in February! Trail I was chose was super muddy in spots but only had a few ice patches. Running along the Grand River and seeing how nicely it was moving made me really want to get my kayak out!

Running 50:00 [3]

Ran with friend from office who is doing a local 8km road race here next weekend and wanted to pre-run the course. Beautiful day for it.

Strength Training 1:00:00 [2]

30 minutes of BodyPump and then 30 of the CWX (or whatever it's called) at the gym. I was slightly more coordinated than last time, but I'm still not sold on it.

Running 1:43:00 [3]

Met Hermes, BiT and simpy at Hilton Falls for a night trail run. Since Hermes is faster than all of us, we gave her a handicap by telling her to wear road shoes and not use a light. ;) Mix of double and singletrack that was pretty icy in some spots, but thanks to my new Spike Cross it was a non-issue. Great company, conversation and laughs. Looking forward to doing it again soon.
