Thacher Park score-o. I decided to start north of the main road simply because there were more features there that I had not visited before. Unfortunately most of these were low-pointers.
I was able to find everything I attempted, and got 22/30 overall. I tried leaving myself enough time to get one last low-pointer near the start/finish (#38) but ended up with only 3 1/2 minutes. That still might have been enough time, but when I saw Glen T. standing at the finish line I realized:
- if I already have more points than he does, #38 makes no difference
- if I have fewer points than he does, #38 makes no difference (at best it would put me in a tie, which he would then win because he obviously did not just finish, and therefore was on the course less time than me)
- if we had the same score, then #38 would make a difference, but the chances of that were minuscule.
Turns out we had the same score.
I had 22 controls, he had 18; his overall route was more efficient.

Afterwards, picked up 11 westernmost controls with Marc Largie.
