Absolutely wrecked - apparently my lungs/ body don’t like actual running! Back to thinking a champs race and billy bland challenge on consecutive days are going to kill me and I might not actually make it round buttermere...

Stunning evening to show Jenny round leg 1BG, starting and ending at latrigg.

Mindful of how long it may take, cracked on more than I have been on the other days in the hills. Disappointingly given the effort, this still wasn’t as fast moving as on my acrual BG, what was I on in 2015?

Survived the leg although blencathra felt huge, nailed the parachute descent then we both descended into a death march as we headed back round to latrigg.

Just beat darkness!

First track session in at least 4 yrs. 8x400m 4mins recovery, but the coach suggested doing every other one.

1) 84s felt fine so decided to do one hard one easy instead of an 8min rest

4) 86s forgot that was meant to be steady

Missed the last as would have just been a 98s one and still had already done more than suggested.

Warm down and run to station. Bag feeling much heavier now.
