I'm in Mora training for EOCs with Lithaunian team member and Linné clubmate, Rasa. This morning we went to Vika and ran the first half of the course sort of together. We met up at each control but got there our own way. I was overall quite happy with my orienteering. Swamps and small contour detail - easy! I live in Uppsala! Some beautiful sections and some open swamps that reminded me of Trondheim. Physically I'm still feeling slow. Breathing hard and no power in my legs. But that's just the way it is now. Can't do anything about it before EOCs, but must start training harder afterwards- still enough time before WOC!

Out again in the afternoon, same map but the second half of the course. Raining when we started and got absolutely soaked when we went through the small pines. It was like swimming.
Technically, not as clean as this afternoon. Some post training analysis shows that I need to be better about my relocation. I can't just randomly pick a place and assume I'm there. I have to make sure it actually makes sense based on what I just did. Sounds logical, but sometimes it's harder than it seems!

Told myself I would be more productive today and happier if I went for a run in the morning before breakfast. Almost convinced myself not to, but I was excited to get some hittaut points! Ran to get the three in Håga. Visited two really beautiful places - the building by the river and some rune stones. One of the things that makes Hittaut so much fun is seeing new places in Uppsala.
Super tired legs. At times I walked for a bit after stopping at the point and admiring the scenery. Beauttful, beautiful morning! :)

Warming up along the trail, since I biked over.

New record again! Since I haven't run the course much before I'm able to get faster just by knowing where to push. I should look at my splits in various places and see where I'm gaining time. I'm betting it's the flat middle section. I can only go so fast up and down the hills - I'm unlikely to gain so much time there. Ross and Albin were also there, and I think they both had PRs too - must have been the great weather :)
lifting/strength (rock gympa) 35:00
Followed by Rock Gympa - which now has an easier agility section in the middle. I did the jumps this time, even though my legs were dying. Actually, in the second set I quit and did back exercises. Small crowd, but Theirry joined us, which was new and exciting.
