Oceania Long. Nailed the first loop before the changeover. Very slow on the long leg (4min behind fastest) - didn't make a mistake but wobbled all over the place on the way up to the saddle and then possibly went unnecessarily wide on the second half of the leg.

Caught Olivia and Ilka at 12 and proceeded to lose my mind (seems like I STILL haven't learned to keep concentrating around others). Lost ~90s by overshooting 13. Lost ~6min on 14 by going around the bottom and then just not really having a point at which to re-enter the detail. Krystal caught me here and while I started off doing my own compassing to 15 I lost confidence and followed her too far down to the right, lost ~3min.

After that returned to hitting almost everything cleanly. Found the course a big physical challenge as I imagine everyone did, had slowed quite a bit at the end.

Obviously disappointed, just can't get any consistency. But also I haven't been doing the work. Having the split priorities over the last few months (Oceania and the Marathon) has been a mistake.

Aus Long. Thought it was messy but not terrible, turns out it was terrible.

Lost time (90s) at 1 looking a rock cluster too low. Hesitation into 5, 30-40s. Another hesitation at 7, 30s. Strange rock mapping around 10, 30s. Didn't stuff up 12 as such but dropped early and worried I was already in the scattered open, hesitations about 60-80s. Went straight through the rock to 13, very slow but lots of people did the same. Missed the passage through to 15 and went around, 70s. Dropped too low out of 17, 60-70s. Just couldn't read 20 for some reason, 2.5min.

Some positives but few and far between. Also felt like I have really lost aggression and am terrified of making a mistake (but clearly still make plenty). Pretty disappointed, usually excel in granite and thought I was physically OK.
