Orienteering 1:39:30 [4] 12.4 km (8:01 / km)
ahr:166 max:182

Was planing this re-run for quite some time now. Managed to convince Vadim to come along with us, who did the red course, though we never managed to cross paths in the woods despite of plenty of common controls. It was hot and humid perhaps a few degrees cooler than at TT. I put out the only water and GU on #14 (the spectator's controls) and off we went. Ran differently on #3 and #4, then completely differently to #8. Took Boris' route straighter route skipping the firebreak and beat my old time by a bit over a minute. At the spectator's control while taking a quick sip of my water I looked at the watch and thought that I was doing about 5 minutes faster than at TT. But looking at the splits now, I was actually faster at TT by ~15 secs. Off to the second loop and taking straighter route to #15. I lost my head on this leg at TT doing different route, but this time it was a lot more refined route and shorter distance too. On #19 went straight again as opposed to my original route going around to the right. Surprisingly didn't gain a whole a lot of time doing that, probably because I started fading and lacking water, but still totally expected to be faster. Finished feeling ok but definitely low on energy.
I can see that I was moving a bit faster back at TT especially on the first loop of the course, but today I was just a tad 'cleaner' and took better routes on long legs. A great course, may will give it another shot sometime in the future.

Running 33:58 [3]
ahr:148 max:171

A nice run at Eagle Rock. No sign of fatigue in legs from yesterday's run, which is surprising, but overall still pretty tired. Finally got a battery for my heart rate chest strap. Couldn't have done this with my old Polar. Using a Timex now for this exact reason. The only thing I am missing is the elevation function, which worked quite well in Polar.

Running 53:48 [3]

Did 2 min intervals on trails at Eagle Rock with active rest in between. Really tired after a tough week at work. Weekend can not come sooner.

Cross-training 1:00:00 [3]

Work out with free weights, push-ups, pull-up, etc. while watching a Korean movie "The Man from Nowhere" on Netflix. Quite dramatic.
