Running 1:10:00 [3] 12.0 km (5:50 / km) +250m 5:17 / km
We went to Baileytown to help up with setting bags for the summer camp, but I ended up doing a trail run instead since there were enough people already helping. Felt sluggish off the start but then gradually warmed up. Did some serious uphill runs, strangely, butt felt ok and didn't really hold me back. Saw a bear twice, probably my size. First time I didn't see it right away but only heard something loud next too me. Turned my head just to see this hairy creature sprinting along side me like 30 feet in the woods and then turn 90 degrees and ran away. I didn't even have a chance to think of anything and just continued to run. Than on the way back, roughly at the same spot, I saw it again right after I turned a corner. It was sitting on the trail chewing on blueberries. I stopped right away ~ 50 feet in front of it, stood there for a sec, backed off and ran around it in the woods. All this followed by BBQ and a much needed dip in the lake. The water is really warm. Eh all those trainings in HP and swimming in the lake, they all coming back to me now!
