Running 23:15 [3] 3.3 mi (7:03 / mi) +70m 6:37 / mi

Felt like running today so drove to PP for more hills than I could've managed around my house. Legs felt light again and hips didn't really bother me.

Did a bit longer session with free weights combined with anti-sitting stuff. Arches felt sore, I guess the ski-boots are to blame.

Easy run with K to MB in a really warm weather ~70F. Legs felt fresh and jumpy.

Went out with Greg and K to the Olympic trails, then did a loop with Greg and dropped out due to hips getting really sore. On the way back climbed hills on the orange loop with K.

Running 41:00 [3] 7.5 km (5:28 / km) +190m 4:51 / km

Felt like running rather then skiing in the second half of the day and talked Greg into running with me. Felt really good, a nice combo of skiing and running for the day.

Goat's annual ski trip to Lake Placid. Skied with K today on various trail in the Cascade area. Felt a bit rusty but not bad. Hips felt sore towards the end but we didn't push it.

Running 27:00 [3] 3.5 km (7:43 / km)

Planned to run on the show-shoe trails but those were not packed at all, so ended up running on the edge of ski-tracks.

Skiing with K and Greg at the Fahenstock Park in snowy conditions. Not a bad for the 1st time on skis.

Decided to go for an easy run instead of skiing as my hips got a bit sore. Felt good.

Just jogged on my treadmill to loosen up my legs.

Did pretty much a bit of everything upper body, abs, back, hips, and ankles. Muscles felt pretty good everything felt easy though I didn't push it.

We (Greg and I) ran to the golf course which is on the old Forest Park's map. Felt rusty after yesterday's effort but we kept the pace reasonable.

Ran at FF on small horse loops. 7:33, 7:19, 7:11, 7:09, 6:43. Legs were light, knees felt good, and I was dressed just right. Much nicer than running on flats at my place.

Event: DVOA Batsto
 

Orienteering 1:20:30 [3] 11.9 km (6:46 / km)

DVOA meet at Batsto - Blue course. Was sloppy right out of the gate and managed to lose about 5 min by the time I got to the fifth control. Then settled down and began working with my compass and started hitting controls. Felt ok physically and even felt stronger towards the end. Was surprised to see the results, those guys are good and Clem is a beast. Kind of reminds me of WC on Oct.27 of last year when we got manhandled by him on a speedy course. This makes me wonder what really went on in the goatmobile on the way down?

Got out of house for a run to MB and back. Just not feeling it this week.

Relaxed run on boardwalk. Just didn't feel 100% after getting up at 4:00am to drop off parents who flew to Jamaica.

Usual set of strength exercises for upper body + a few for ankles. Legs feel surprisingly fresh, knees just a bit cranky.
