Note

When it comes to cars, they say that there is no replacement for dispacement when it comes to engine power, and this is true in sports as well. There is no magic here, can't replace real training with an armchair quarterbacking and hope for a good result in the woods. While I had an okay Day1 run and even had some flow on long legs, I completely came apart physically on Day2, pretty much from the start, and had to simply settle in for a jog in the woods. Disappointing? Yes! Unexpected?, No! Congrats to the medalists and thanks for QOC for putting on a fine event.

A Bubba Goat by BOK. Wasn't expecting to be the chaser but had to work hard to keep up with a junior and a Swedish guy (will add names once results come out, I had to leave right after finishing). On the way to #5 working hard uphill the direction was off and I lagged behind, saw the two hit a parallel situation and knew exactly were we were. Split off from the duo and never saw them again. Ran more measured on my own, a bit sloppy around #14 as I started to get tired and mentally was already leading myself to #15 but recovered just in time. Probably eating GU would've helped, but I started to slow down after #15 as I didn't see any chasers behind me. Map should be accessible here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-tuf4QbIn8pWlhlT...
