I was reasonably happy with this run. I thought the course was slightly simple with lots of short legs and no opportunity to lose yourself. My problem was that from early on, my left flute was sore on every stride and getting worse. By the end though, I could barely think and could not even run down the finish chute it was so badly spasmed. I think this distraction was the cause of the couple of errors that I made which were primarily about not seeing the flag and doing silly things.

Some more visiting old haunts although some secret tracks no longer possible :( quite a few flower/photo stops, even the parrot bush was looking lovely! Chose the bridge instead of boronia hill (bad call) and not the best path along the final scarp, but still a perfect morning out.

Noticed a bit of glue soreness during this run, it was nothing serious, but in hindsight, the start of something.

Got to run at Malmalling! So happy to get the opportunity to come this weekend. Ran W21 which was a bit of a shock to the system but gave me the best opportunity to see the map. Started a bit rough even though I was conscious to concentrate. Missed 1 slightly as was having trouble seeing anything! Got ridiculously stuck in green going to 2, I should have climbed earlier but had chosen not to. Not sure how I missed 3 apart from blinking at the wrong time… small wobble to 5. For 8 I drifted too far left which set me up all wrong even though I knew where I was… I got everything else ok. Possibly a bit wobbly then cautious for 12. Definitely getting tired and feet feeling a bit blistery at the end, not used to being in o shoes for so long!

Happy days! Maybe I’ll make it to Kings Park for a run before I have to go home :)
