Disaster run. A few big time losses, wrong shoe choice, should not have gone cross country for 13.

I got up early to get a nice run on Two Creeks before it got too hot. Unfortunately some company found me as I was having breakfast and declared she wanted to come too. So a pram run it was. What a slog! First time I've pushed the pram back up Grosvenor and it nearly killed me. Legs have been suffering all week from this - old shoes (waiting on new ones to arrive) and pounding on the bitumen when not planned. Quite happy with the pace given the temperature and humidity this morning (28ÂșC and 90%, urghh). Aoife was cold...

Up to De Burgh's Bridge (clockwise). Went to meet the Saturday group but after getting home late I didn't check the meeting place. I couldn't spot anyone nearby at 6:30 so start off alone. I heard some voices near Porter's Creek so stopped and waited once I got to the road. They eventually appeared and I had company for the second half of the run which was good. Got a good pace going for most of the way too.

Ran from Lane Cove NP to the athletics track to meet Malin & Anthea. A bit of a detour part way there as the lower path was under water.
We initially decided to do 8 x 400 but after the first 2 reduced it to 6 - it was very hot & humid! (Malin ended up doing 7.)

Reasonably happy with the times, not sure what happened on the second last one. I think the improvement since my last session is probably just the smoother track.

A reasonably good run for a change. I like the "late" start block :)
Hard work tonight but it was the same for everyone. I think tackling the steep sections first and leaving a gradual climb for the last couple of km was a good option for me. Impressed that I managed to get back in time for a change.
