Rojabo Power efficiency test
Last time I did this was Aug 8, 2009. At the low SR, I am about 25-30 watts higher, while at the high end, about 20 watts. Low end my be skewed high because I was a bit off on the SR (supposed to be 20, 20 and 22). Forgot to record pace.

Nice water. Rowed the 2k course a few times for fun. Checked my Strokecoach calibration again.

Water temp = 73F
Recorded 505m for 500.

Our USOF renewal notice showed up today just when Clem and Dasha are due to arrive and spend the night. Coincidence? I think not! Something nefarious is afoot.

No running today, not even close. And running in the West Point rocks was out of the question.

For the record, back in Dallas it has yet to come within 5 degrees of today's temps.

Orienteering 1:15:00 [3]

West Point A meet
Middle distance 4.9km, 2 hundred something climb = almost 59

The good:
A bit warm but a nice day. Good course with some interesting a challenging legs and well selected control locations. Except for C1 my navigating was decent. Not fast and I had a couple of small bobbles, but overall decent.

The bad:
On the way to C6 I banged up my left foot (outside edge towards heel) in some rocks. It got progressively more painful over the course of the race. I had to skip the sprint and I'll just have to see about tomorrow.

The ugly:
On the way to C1 snared myself in a spool of concertina wire. My pants were totally wrapped up in it. Luckily, JJ came by and helped me get out. My legs are pretty dinged up. Once running again I proceeded to bomb the control -- a big scoop of bomb with nuts, sprinkles and a cherry on top.

Note

Put in three more buoy lanes this afternoon in gale force winds. I don't know how the guys are going to be able to finish this whole project.

North wind laps.

Spent the afternoon with the boathouse gang getting a start on installing lane buoys for Sat's regatta. We got in 2 x 2000m of buoys. Hopefully, we finish tomorrow.
