hiking 2:30:00 [3]

Annoyed with myself for wearing but not starting my watch. And I took some trails I've never been on before so was actually curious to see my track. Similar to Monday but a little longer. I was probably also going slower given yesterday's effort.

Anyway, a nice long easy hike on an absolutely gorgeous day.

Hill repeats. Sandy helped me get through the first two but I remembered wrong how many repeats I did a week ago. Probably a good thing I stopped after 5 though since my knee was a bit sore when I got home and it bugged me until some ibuprofen and ice made it stop complaining.

Meadow loop with Sandy. Good to get out early while the trails weren't all mushy. But still a bunch of slipping and sliding with each step so a good workout.

strength & stretching 30:00 [3]

Snow shoveling very wet snow = lots of squats and shoulder exercises. A lot more branches are going to be coming down I suspect; some of my bushes and hedge type things that I didn't trim very much last fall are bent all the way over and a few that I looked at had some snapped boughs. I suppose that's one way to get them pruned!

strength & stretching 45:00 [3]

And round two of squat, lift, throw repeat with an occasional stretching thrown in as I got the snow off the roof of the car.

strength & stretching 40:00 [3]

Training session with Melissa. SJU hired a new trainer and her hours mesh with mine a little better. She has a very different approach than Kelly but seems to have some PT knowledge so I think it will work well. She paid a lot more attention to my form as I went through some exercises and nothing I did hurt my shoulder or knee.

Supposed to be 45 minutes but I forgot my ID and the desk attendant was adamant that I could not get in without my ID. So I had to truck back to my office and then back to the gym and so was a bit late. At least I was good and warmed up before starting.
