Brown course at Pakim Pond/Four Mile Circle. Was very surprised to win the brown course today. I ran in probably 5 spots for all of 100 paces each time. And I wasn't completely clean - got fooled by an extra trail on the way to #5 and "corrected" incorrectly to the right when I had been on a perfect line to the control and then got pulled right by footsteps in the snow to #6. But recovered quickly in both cases so no big errors and my strategy of just going straight through the blueberry seemed to pay off. The trails were slush and packed snow so not easy running and I wouldn't have been running anyway so straight seemed like the better option.

Picking up controls.

Vetting the Trail-O course. About three hours on my feet so I'm counting something.

Not as bad as when we did Tyler but still tough footing on the trails in places. Wonder how much snow, ice and slush will remain after this week of warmer weather.

strength & stretching 30:00 [3]

About 2 hours of shoveling all total - got to count for some sort of arm workout.

Note
weight:121lbs

Haven't been too good about losing the weight but should be able to get back on track this weekend.

Went out on snowshoes - we must have gotten about a foot of snow today - but my headlamp wasn't working so I turned around after a bit. I only wanted to stretch my legs and hips a bit after shoveling so that was fine.

Worked at home this morning then shoveled the slush off the walkways. It was so nice out that I decided I had time to squeeze in a run. Well, a walk/run. It really was nice out - sorta sunny, and so warm compared to recently. Went without a hat or gloves and just one extra layer and it was definitely the right call. Assumed my feet would be soaked by the end so sloshed through all the muck without worrying about it. A bit of slipping around but overall not bad. Knee didn't like it much but that's what ibuprofen is for.
