Hike in the Wissahickon. So many trees down. Thought the drive might be better than the trails but it was bad too. Several places where it's just one big sheet of ice. Crazy.

Hill repeats with Sandy on snowshoes. Trying to taper so only did 3. They felt harder than usually though not sure how much was the snowshoes and how much no trekking poles.
Amazing how different the snow was in the meadows from when we started - all icy and you barely sunk in at all - to when I finished - all mushy and soft. Go sun!
Did not want to go out today - every few minutes I'd hear another crack and some more branches would come down in my yard - so I had stayed in. Dragged out the stair stepper and did that for 20 minutes mindlessly in front of the tv. Wonder what kind of hit the Wissahickon took.
RTP was on tap for today but after shoveling for a while I don't think I need any more. I must have done about 200 squats since each shovelful of really wet snow was heavy and I could only do about a foot at a time!! Other than round 2 (and maybe more) of shoveling later in the day I don't think I need any more weight training today.
Note
Round two of the shoveling. Spent a bit of time shaking snow off of bushes that were totally bent over.
