running 45:13 [3]

Another early morning run on the beach at the Jersey shore. My neice saw dolphins; I only saw lots of surfers.

running 34:52 [3]

An early morning run along the beach inbetween thunderstorms. Sand was a little packed from the rain making it easier running than the last time I ran here. Going barefoot helped as well.

other 5:00 [1]

I'm sure there was at least 5 minutes of some sort of workout playing whiffle ball on the beach for an hour and a half.

swimming 40:00 [3] 1.6 km (25:00 / km)

Had to get my swimsuit from my locker at school for a weekend at the shore so decided I'd do some laps while I was there.

running 1:11:53 [3]

TNT - Media. A slower than usual run with Dasha and Harvey at a pace that felt nice and comfortable.

A fine birthday celebration/WOC send off party afterwards.

Note

Rest Day. Not really planned but probably needed in any case.

Had gotten in the habit during the school year of doing ankle exercises (toe raises and balance stuff) any time I found myself working at the xerox machine which was at least 3-4 times a week so I was being good about doing those. After a couple of months of no school so no copying, I was in and had to copy some things and without thinking started the routine. Wow! Could I tell a difference! Need to find some other thing to tie these to so I start doing them regularly again.

running 1:02:13 [3]

TNT Andorra - 4 miles on the drive
9:30 pace for the first two with Anne, then 10:00 and 10:30 on my own as she did the usual 5 and I turned around early.

A storm front came through as we were finishing - the wind was howling and you could hear trees snapping and crashing in the woods and the temperature dropped about 10 degrees as we climbed out of the valley.

Gourmet dining afterwards as usual.

biking 1:36:00 [3]

Rode part of the way out to Valley Forge on the bike trail; turned around at the end of a long shady section. Took the slightly longer way home where the hill is longer but less steep. Glad I went out relatively early since it's brutal out now.
