orienteering race 1:52:40 [4] 7.81 km (14:26 / km)

Day 2 of the NTOA Interscholastic event. A much better day with only one real error (2 minutes), one bad route choice (another minute or two), and 2 or 3 sloppy executions but fast recoveries. A lot of fun orienteering and a nice weekend. It was over 80 degrees on Sunday afternoon which was a nice, albeit short, hiatus from Philly weather. (It was snowing when I got home!)

orienteering race 2:21:14 [4] 8.37 km (16:52 / km)

Day 1 red course at the NTOA Interscholastic event. Not sure what posessed me to sign up for red, but I did, and I'm glad I did. My time is horrible but mostly because I was careless and made lots of 2-4 minute errors, probably 25 mins total. Nothing huge, never to the point of being confused about where I was after stopping, but lots of not reading my way all the way into the control. The vegetation wasn't great, but the mapping was accurate and it was easy to avoid the really bad stuff. Having done the model event, I knew which greens were okay to go through and which to stay out of. Despite everything, I enjoyed myself.

Just something to do while waiting for the pizza dough to rise. Was watching a movie that Dennis needed to watch for school.
