Core DVD before heading in to work for the day. I tend to stop after the plank session when I'm pressed for time which is what happened this morning.

Weird - felt like I was moving better today but took longer. Oh well.

It was colder out than I thought it was, and it took a while for my hands not to be cold - perhaps that was part of it. Who knows.

Yoga class. Michele taught the class instead of Bridget - lots of good stretching, not so much strength. But I needed the stretching so it's all good.

Threw in a 15 minute session of hills - just tried to jog up and down a gentle hillside that was pretty open between two trails. Did 10 repeats. Figured anything in the terrain was better than nothing since I didn't get enough work done yesterday to take off for HR today.

Usual loop. Had to walk two extra sections that I can normally jog but I'm chalking it up to a really bad week - way too little sleep, way too much eating and not enough hydrating. I was expecting a time closer to 38 minutes though given the way I felt so I'll take it.

orienteering 1:43:31 [3] 6.6 km (15:41 / km) +185m 13:45 / km

QOC event at Greenbelt, Red course. Disliked 1-2-3-4, but the rest of the course was pretty good. 1-2-3 were trail runs and I couldn't run. 3-4 was probably a lot faster if you took the trails out to the road and then blasted down the road - but it was twice as far and I had had enough of trails so plowed through the woods which were not so nice. Made a 5 minute mistake at 6 which was annoying - I was in the right spot and didn't see the control/feature (control down in a pit in the midst of downed trees) - and was not confident enough to just keep looking so went back out to the trail and ran up and down the trail trying to figure out where else I could be only to go back to the same spot and this time just spot the epunch unit sticking out over the lip of the pit. Rats! But the rest of the course was through some really nice woods and I enjoyed myself immensely.

Late afternoon hike in the Wissahickon. Glad I got out but too much on mind and not able to really enjoy it.

TNT - track workout. Mixed things up, walking and jogging and trying to run the last 100m hard every other lap and then every lap. Alternated hard/easy laps where easy meant I could walk the curves. Did the hard ones in 2:15-2:30 and the easy ones in 3:25-3:40 for a total of 14 laps. Plus the walk over to and back from the track. Happy with the results.

TNT - with Sandy on the drive. Set my watch timer and did 40 seconds running, 40 seconds walking for two miles. Did the two miles in 23 minutes which is pretty reasonable given that we were walking for half the time.

Hike in the Wissahickon. A beautiful day and there was a great view of one of the water falls that I never noticed - although it's quite possible I've ever hiked that trail in that direction before. Will try to remember to take a camera next time I go that way.

Yoga/Pilates 1:15:00 [3]

Yin yoga class. I liked the teacher but I didn't really like the style of yoga - I knew it wasn't going to be a real workout, but I was expecting more. Not sure more what, but more something. Didn't really even feel like I got a good stretching session out of it.

Debated about putting in the whole class time, but I've decided that even if it wasn't physically demanding training, I was successful at putting the time aside to do it and sometimes that is half the battle. So I'm counting it as training.

Afternoon run with Sandy on the usual loop. Really nice out and I'm happy with the time given how much I've been eating this week. (I'm not getting on the scale; I don't want to know.)
