Was unexpectldy in bristol tonight so could pop down to do the bristol docks race, thought it would be fine on the knee as it would be flat.
Reallly intresting area, round all the stairwells of the docks, without being allowed to corss any dual carrigway, but allowed under it. Don't think I ever quite nailed the route choices on the first ones. It helped knowing this a little from a couple of ecentric Britton runs, though more knowledge would've been useful.
Only geinuine mistake on #16 (map) where i switched off and went down the wrong road.
Super good mapping by David & matt, really a lot better than some of the other urban maps and well planned.
I took it steady physically, but as we ended up on Royal York crescent there was a fair amount of paving bashing descent. They did their best to depict the levels, though given the mutli levels and the opportunity to cheat and save time, not convinced you could stage a major event here.
Found some neat spots, including a game of canoe polo in the docks.
