Orienteering 1:29:00 [3]
shoes: Jalas

Orienteering Llantrist,

This started fine, and I was most suprised too see Dr bown, who had started 2 mins infront of me, coming out of number 4.
Caught him again faffing round at 6, I hadn't looked ahead at all for the leg to 8 and this cost me with a faff and then slightly sub optimum route (still went high - 30s). Was getting the ones in the thick stuff fine, very hestiatant to 12 as couldn't quite make the contours fit. Then right to 13 which was a bit grotty, ended up high on 14 (1 min). Went high and far left to 15, which was OK, though did have a bit of climb. Then 16 was a complete cockup, first of all tried to go straight, but it was greener than indicated, had no idea where I was. Came out at bottom, relocated and never saw it, a bit of looping, back up to 15, went down stream looking for gullys back down to bank, back up and found it (6.5 mins)
Enthusisum dropped a little at this point, and ended up quite far down, had trouble with compass round 18/20.

Generally enjoyed it, area was alright, I would probably go back. It's always nice to run somewhere new and Marcus' map was good - be good to see more areas in the south mapped with this level of accuracy. Course planning made you think. Pity about the grot entering/exiting the blocks. Thanks to Mark & Alice for bashing it down.

The Dr didn't even have the dignity to finish to let me beat him. So here it is Mark....
Control 12:
Agmen 39.37 1st
Bown 44.47 5th :-)

Run 40:00 [4]
shoes: Roclite 315

Run with VT from Marriott St martin. Went down the otherbank of the touch for the first time. worked in a nice little loop, with only one boring bit up the side of the railway line.
Will probably do this loop again.

Running a bit faster than i would've done by myself.

Run 1:05:00 [3] 12.2 km (5:20 / km)
shoes: Roclite 315

Monday night run with Mark S, Matt W and Adam.
good to catchup with people after a bit of a monday night run hiatus.

Leigh woods across the top, then abbots pool and back across AC. Nice moonlit evening, though a bit dark in the woods.
Desipte thinking i might be fighting off a bit of a cold since friday, running felt good, arguably best since June. yada yada yada.
