Stock hill - blue

Bit of an odd Stock hill course, it made the least of the area. Lots of controls in the open and on the tracks on the unmapped dense blocks up the back. Bit of a change. Maybe the planner is scared of the forest.
several wobbles up to 30s each (3,5,9,10,16,20). prob lost 2 mins all up. Generally was feeling last nights effort so going a bit slow. Still can't quite shake cough.
Quick time by Adam.

Castle comfort was closed, but found a pub to rival it. Massive burger = yum. Two meat patteies, two rashers of beacon, 3 onion rings, tomatoes, lettuce, onion, two slices of chesse, egg, hashbrown and a stack of chips.

Scoping area for Jk '14. Got lost finding it which is never a good start. So was a bit shorting than I planned. Those welsh valleys are a bit bleak.

Lovely run in the sun, though crisp.

Cannop WNL - mass start, Night

Very pleasing too see a mass start. I started with my normal tactic of get them all. WAs a bit of running with Jason Howell at the start. through 7,14,12, then we bashed over to 11. Even though this took a while, still went to 6. I dropped about 30s at 13, even though it was bang on just didn't see it. Then 25, it was again roughly right, but with the new brashings it was very difficult top spot the feature from above, probably lost ~ 2mins. Then i was running a bit short of time. So missed several controls. So in total I went to a lot of controls, just not a lot of the high scoring ones. Also was 2 mins work.
Therefore was hamoured on points by ifor.
brillant training, was hamouring at times on the tracks and in forest. Ran 9.1k with a fair bit of climb.
Route 7 14 12 11 24 13 6 5 16 25 19 22 4 8 18 9 3 17 1 finish.

big ups to richard for organising, and getting them all in the right place.
Perrsonally enjoyed the mass start format. More compact, a little bit of racing for quicker people, and i would expect for 90% of comptitors made no difference. A bit dissapointing a few more quicks wern't out.

Really struggling too see a good way to do them all (sign of good planning). Optimal route suggestion

Cruise on the road bike down to climbing centre and back. pretty sure the bouldering was harder than the road bike, so maybe I should be logging that.
cruised back with jim running alongside me, think it was easier on the bike.
