Orienteering 2:50:46 [3] 21.5 km (7:57 / km) +700m 6:50 / km
shoes: X-talons

BOK long O
Mallerds pike & Mosely Green
Started fine, with 1 and 2 being really easy. Then spannered three as had to relocate, as wasn't really concentrating and there were ditches everywhere, but it was correct. Slightly shafted by the map on the way to 5. 14 was one of the few long legs with significant route choice, went straight to the left of the line, which was maybe a tad slower than running roads the whole way. Had issues finding the pond on 16, due to all the green stuff. Got stuck coming out of 18. Bown joined me for my second chat to Paul. And we procceded to battle it out on the route to 23 - he won, i was hoping his track was overgrown. But then he got all conservative on 24, and ran very hard on the track whilst I sneaked up the bank and popped out infront. Then he found a better way up to 24, then me, and alas he was gone. Started to significantly tire on the way to 25, 26 did some block cutting then finish. Reasonble race, excellent endurance training. Last of the M21s but ahead of all the veterans.

Orienteering 3:00:00 [2]
shoes: X-talons

Orienteering training with the Dr.
Mosely Green FoD

Being called mark he'd planned lots of exercises.
Number 1, was map memory, working on control flow. Number three was similar but much longer.
Then in the afternoon did the pairs exercise with tim. This was better As I was more attentive with someone else there. started to try to memorise quite a lot at the end, but sometimes it went a bit wrong.

Mountain Bike 1:20:00 [3]

Ashton court with people from work. 2 loops. Kinda of like an interval session, as some hard riding, as one guy was v good, and then lot's of stops.
Had an embarassing spd stationary crash with blood.... Nice afternoon to be out.

Run 59:00 [3]
shoes: Walsh PB trail

Late arrival back from toulouse, firstly having to take easyjet to lulsgate, then secondly work booking us a taxi with a guy who 'lived' somewhere very close to a massage palour in glos road. So bash through town for an hour before proceeding to filton...

So excellent chance to try the new headlamp. Generally pretty pleased, the only problem is that everyone has them. Whilst this is good for the health of the nation, I quite liked my winter runs without seeing anyone. Now ashton court has about 20 mtbers out with lights.
Felt OK, Nice unwinder.
