Mytchett Race
Really nice area, good running and reasonble technical, enjoyed this 2 orders of magnitude more than the new forest event last weekend. Thought I had a reasonble run, until i saw others times. Alright to number 6, where i was sitting 9th. 30s lost on 7 by being pushed left by green. 20s on 10 by getting confused, by the tracks half way. 10s on 13 by being loose out of control to the right. 10s on 14, by underestimating what a ditch was going to look like. 15 went right 20 s, 18 hesistant 10 s. Lost 1 min on 23, but the control wasn't in the right place. But still it was amazing i didn't see it sonner, as it wasn't that far away. Then another min on 25, as i thought it was on this side of the ridge, but was on the far side, and got very confused. Bananaded the finish and lost 10s.
Maybe lost some time by running straight too often, but i enjoy the forest running, so not too fussed, eg 6, 19
So all up approx 3 mins of mistakes, which is too much in retrospect. Appeared to die a bit physcially otwards the end (was 8th at 19). My buttocks still hurt from circuits too. Not too fussed I don't have the speed at the moment. But really annoyed that mark2 bet me again. And clive and 2 M16s smashed me. It would've been better if someone had run through me. But only had Peter bray at the end 2 push me slightly.
Fun race, OK performance, just a bit scrappy.
Winner Ian Nixon 63.52 (good time..)
me 16/60
