Mountain Bike 3:20:00 [3] 44.0 km (4:33 / km) +1100m 4:02 / km

MTB Afan, with phil and chris. AWESOME

Did the W2 trail which is two trails linked together over the top, particuarly the first down hill was great. Great weather, great tracks, great scenery. Managed not too hurt myself. Pity chris's rear mech snaped off after only 10k.

Run 15:00 [3] 2.7 km (5:33 / km) +50m 5:05 / km
shoes: f-lite 335

Run back to chris with chain breaker, after report of rear mech failure ( it had sheared right off).

Run 32:00 [3]
shoes: f-lite 335

run round top of purdown, planned on doing some speed, but felt a bit off (as have since fri). This was proved when went for the run and felt rubbish, so cut it short.

Mountain Bike 2:30:00 [3]

MTB at cwm Carn with boys from work.

Nice single track, really well maintained track, technical single track climb in part, with nice flowing decent. 2 loops. But we stopped a lot, with lots of pissing around.
Warm weather, like the first day of summer, temp showed 27 at one point on the car.

Quite like the new bike, seems to be quite easy to ride on the descents, opened it up on the 2nd loop, and didn't even feel like I came close to falling off - despite my lack of tech ability. still getting use to the full sus.

The police seemd to enjoy driving round the forest drive, obviously what they do when noone is commiting suicide in the valleys

Orienteering 54:00 [3] 8.7 km (6:12 / km)
shoes: X-talons

Leigh woods informal.
This area is actually quite good, if the map was updated - as well as the tracks not all being there, the contours are also wrong inplaces.
Just cruised round, stuck to the tracks where i could.
Note: distance ran

Orienteering race 33:45 [4] 5.2 km (6:29 / km)
shoes: f-lite 335

York City Race

Had a micro-O prolouge in some museum, the highlight being the excellent download facilities just past the 9th control (and Mark2 getting one wrong and trying to change it).

Was pretty clean throughout race, In the veg mucked up 4 bigtime, and went to 12 first ~40s. Then couple more small things, and saw Mark at 10, got caught by a green light and had to wait an eternity at 13. 16 nearly went to wrong control. Probably 1.30 mistakes all up. This race is the type of orienteering that suits me the least, flat, easy, tarseal. Still fun race, not quite as technically as last years, and smashing day with no traffic on the way home. tres bon.

Winner Rob baker 26.34 from a classy british elite field.
Me 19/110 with a lot of people just in front of me,If i'd gone a bit faster i wold've been 11th.
