Run 2:32:17 [3] 20.94 km (7:16 / km) +970m 5:54 / km
shoes: Roclite 315

Long run with Mark S in Brecons. AFter the weather forecast being undecieded whether it was going to be good or not, it was very pleasent until the last 10 mins.

From road high point to Tor y Foel, down to Talybont reservior up Waun Rydd and back to car, so a reasonble serious amount of climb.
Felt good although not super athletic. Reminded me of NZ hill runs. very nice.

Orienteering 50:14 [3] 6.0 km (8:22 / km) +310m 6:39 / km
shoes: X-talons

High Meadow, NGOC informal

The controvesial event, as it may have taken place on terraine which includes terraine which may be used for the World champ selection races and UK cup final, maybe, if you knew. But as i'm going to be in italy i don't care.

Didn't find 3, although didn't hang round to look, was reasonble confident i was at the correct platform, but as it was a platform i just kept on going. Spiked most other ones, although most were quite easy. Loads of climb later on.

Already quite a lot of green growth, can imagine it's going to be pretty ferel by early july!

Note

Wanted to go biking today, but had procrastinated ages on getting a bike. But then found an 08 Lapierre X-Control 310 in XL, bargain, so i bought it.
Can't wait until it turns up.
Also have £600 bike to work voucher for road bike + accesories.

Orienteering 2:40:00 [2]
shoes: f-lite 335

Danby Lodge, FoD Setting out technical training.

I always forget how long it takes to put out controls. Put out course for others - mass start race with unfair gaffling. The armchair planning meant we went into some pretty dodgy bits of the map, infact round 4,5,6 the map was complete rubbish, with a depression that could easily swallow a large bulldozer missing just before one control. wasted load s of time checking these out, then apperntly proceed to place 7 too far up (i never checked it from the track, am i bad). But miracously everything else was OK.
Much quicker collecting them, and em got a few. Too clubhouse afterwards for a feed.

Run 1:17:23 [3] 13.6 km (5:41 / km)
shoes: f-lite 335

Run on mendips with charles, mark 2 and dr bone.
Nice area, well exceeded my expectations. And little traffic getting there for some reason. Felt flat but otherwise better.
