Orienteering race (BOK Sandford) 57:19 [3] *** 5.37 km (10:40 / km) +140m 9:27 / km
spiked:19/22c

My first Orienteering in about 5 months. The run was average to very bad, prob cause I'm rusty (or maybe because of the ABs loss :-). Struggled to get into the map and mucked up no2. Then had a complete disatour in 4, got very very confused, the most so in recent memory. slipped sideways on compass, then did a parrallel error and then a 180 (i think). Managed to relocate eventually, but cost me 6 mins. After that things got better but I felt sluggish throughout.

Area was quite nice though, map was average, i don' t understand why it was at 1:7500, this always annoys me it should be 1:10

Run 1:45:00 [2]

Big explore round leigh woods and ashton court. managed to climb in and out of gorge once, first hill climb in a while. Then round ashton court soaking up the sun, found a MTB track which looked a lot better for running than mtb with it's almost constantly rough surface. First long run in a while, felt Ok.

Run round Stokes park, felt pretty bad, then randomly met my flatmate on his run on the way back to the house. First sunny day in a while.

Swimming 35:00 [2]

Swimming, I still wonder why they bother with the lane ropes at filton -as they are purely just ropes it is more akin to what i imagine swimming in a triathlon pack is than normal lane swimming.

Swimming 25:00 [2]
shoes: feet

Checked out the local pool at Filton, quite good actually, relativly empty. Would've been even better if we hadn't taken a 1 hour detour to the Horfield (yes there is a suberb called HORfield) pool to find it full of kids first. My first time swimming in over a year. The pool in ullapool was still better though.
