orienteering race 1:22:00 [5]

Was pretty excited for the race today, but unfortunately woke up with really gross cramps :( took a panadol before the race but that just made me feel more sick and didn't help my cramps at all so I felt pretty awful running, and so was very slow. Navigated ok, but just annoyed to be so slowwww :(

orienteering race 16:06 [5]

Sprint relay, in a team with mace, gin and shep. I was flustered at the start and when I came across the unmapped fence I freaked out and lost a lot of time (~1min) running around up some more dead ends because I was so thrown. After that I got better, but was still not that smooth in the last section. Shoulda just climbed the unmapped fence!!

'Twas super fun though :)

running 50:00 [3]

A run from blackheath with the parentals. Definitely not all running time, but I didn't start my Garmin so don't know how long we were actually running for. We got lost and so had to bush-bash up a slope for a while to find the correct track. And also parts of the track were very rough along the bottom of cliffs (hence we didn't run the whole time). Included six surges.

Warm up onlh

orienteering race 59:40 [5]

Easter Day 3. Another disappointment today, I think I lost some significant minutes taking a slow route to number 1. The rest I was mostly happy with, but was a bit too hesitant on some.

Feeling a bit cut after this Easter, but still some positives to be taken away...I do think my recent mental training has made a difference and I'm less distracted by negative thoughts than I used to be. Am also feeling a bit more positive about orienteering in general, so that's also good.
