felt like doing some exercise today so went to dickson pool. wasnt very busy at all despite being a public holiday so that was great :D
had a good think about some stuff......

pulled out after 1 and a bit loops. shin was hurting and also calves started playing up.....so cut to pull out obviously but i deserve it for not treating this injury properly when it first came up (before STB).
going to go back to physio and see if orthotics are a solution since i have all these lower leg problems.

Prob wasn't even this much. Infact I'm sure it wasnt this much. But hard to guesstimate.

Nol sprint
Technically ok, one small hesitation that cost maybe 15-20sec. Apart from that just not feeling super speedy and a little apprehensive on the shin (been very sore since run yesterday morning, have been taking masses of voltatren so was not sore warming up for this)

Cool area, and I love mining terrain. However I'm not sure why but my head was totally in the wrong place today. Mostly ended up running in the general direction then stopping and searching. Compass was off on almost every control (not blaming the compass here, totally my fault). Very frustrating as I was looking forward to this race. Kinda feel rusty oing in the bush so maybe that's partly it - haven't done much/any since Oceania last year haha.

Shin sore to walk on after. Will assess for the long in the morning.

Easy morning run with surges
Shin hurt :( bugger...oh well just gotta forget about it. Can't do anything before this weekend.
Ran via bakers delight to pick up some breaky since I have no food left in the house haha.

last 8am lecture of the week, woohoo sleep in from here!

running intervals 1:02:40 [5]

went to ainslie to do yesterdays ints. silly garmin forgot to put the session on for today (yes, it was the garmin, not me) so just made it up and did 7x2mins then 2x30sec run throughs on a single track.
felt ok once i got going but shin hurt despite magic tape :( maybe its time for a more intense colour.....pink for the nol im thinking ;)

Attempted a run this evening but just felt so tired, mentally if not physically. All good though, nol this weekend and think I had a hard week last week in terms of running.
