Spring Challenge Golden Bay

Raft down the Aorere, short bike, rogaine in crappy farm land, mtb around the Aorere goldfields, a white course in the tracks of Milthorpe Reserve to the finish and the worst ferry glide in the world.... O and a beach sprint.

Going to take the next couple of days off to try and shake this cold completely.

Spring challenge this weekend. Not sure if I can be bothered really but I feel like this every year before spring challenge and its always fun so I must suck it up. I think I've gone full circle in 5 years of doing the race. From being disorganized with crappy bike and gear in year 1, to be super organised and focused with fully serviced bike, to being slack and disorganized this year! Just realized my normal racing shorts have a massive hole in them....

Out to Woodend. Was heading round to my house first to pick up puncture stuff and got a flattie so had to walk there.

Nice ride, was feeling quite good. Must have been the tail wind.

Orienteering 1:16:20 [4] 7.73 km (9:52 / km) +13m 9:47 / km

Complete waste of time. Forgot to eat anything anything after the ride and was just feeling completely smashed from the start. Couldn't be bothered.

Legs feeling pretty heavy and horribly tired. I think I'm going to eat some steak this week.
